What We Do

BBB Rural & Outback clothing are one of the very few companies still manufacturing clothing in Australia, from Australian made fabric.

We pride ourselves on making quality clothing that is designed and manufactured to last.

Fabric Mills in Australia have decreased significantly since the 1970s when imported products began to offer a cheaper alternative to Australian made. However at BBB we are lucky to still have many Australian made fabrics in stock including Bradmill Denim Wool. We will continue to use this stock as well as sourcing more Australian fabric for as long as we can.

Please call our friendly staff who will be only too pleased to assist you with quality Australian Made clothing.

How It All Began

BBB Rural & Outback Clothing was started back in 1984 when the two Bills, a father and son team, came away from an auction with 1000 pairs of jeans!

Fittingly, their new endeavor was named BBB after Bill senior, Bill Junior, and the third and youngest Bill (born in 1984).

The Bills along with their wives Beryl and Kathy began travelling, selling their clothes farm to farm. They extended into hiring the country town halls in which they would hold sales along with taking their mobile showroom to picnic race meetings, field days and other popular bush events to bring their clothing to the people of rural and outback areas of Australia.

As popularity grew the company created their own patterns and opened the shop front in Waterloo Corner while still continuing to travel with the mobile showroom.

Bill senior passed away in 2008 and the company continued to run with Bill Jnr selling and mum Beryl still working in the factory.

Where Are We Now

After the untimely passing of Bill Jnr in 2020 the company was going to be shut down but the youngest of the Bills wasn't quite ready to let it go. He, along with his family, including a new baby Billy, sold their farm and moved south to continue the legacy.

In 2022 triple BBB moved their factory to a new location near Dublin SA. With this and a new clothing trailer we are doing our utmost to get stock back out to customers. We are also hoping to open a new shop front very soon!
